Artists, astrologers, mad scientists\u2014everyone came for the royal funding and stayed for the vibes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\">Rudolf was obsessed with <strong>alchemy<\/strong>\u2014the medieval attempt to turn base metals into gold, discover the <em>elix\u00edr \u017eivota<\/em> (elixir of life), and decode the secrets of the universe with shiny glassware.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Basically:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\uddea Chemistry + \u2728Mysticism + \ud83d\udc09Just a hint of dragon powder = Czech alchemy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\uddeb So\u2026 What Did Czech Alchemists Actually Do?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Great question. Short answer?<br><em>V\u0161echno a nic.<\/em> (Everything and nothing.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They weren\u2019t just melting metals for fun. It was a blend of science, philosophy, and spiritual transformation. Many Czech alchemists believed that to purify metal, you had to purify <em>your soul first<\/em>. Deep, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were potions and rituals, sure, but also real physics and biology happening under those candle-lit ceilings. Some people called them heretics. Others called them geniuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Us?
